2024 Sioux Falls Burger Battle: ‘The Alanis Morissette’ from PAve

January in Sioux Falls only means one thing...Burger Battle! This year's Downtown Sioux Falls Burger Battle is pretty intense. A record 37 savory burgers from local Sioux Falls restaurants are looking for your stomachs and votes.

When it comes to burgers, there definitely is one for everyone, especially in Sioux Falls! Sponsored by First Western Bank & Trust, the 11th annual Downtown Sioux Falls Burger Battle features burgers residents can sink their teeth into. You only have a few more chances to try 37 burgers in this year's battle. It's a challenge but it can be done! The next burger I was really excited to try is from PAve. This "ironic" burger is called "The Alanis Morissette." 

According to a previous article from my co-worker Jeff Harkness, The Alanis Morissette is a "two beef/steak blend smash patties, American cheese, mayo, and roasted hatch chili salsa, on a gourmet brioche bun." If you're looking for a simple burger to enjoy, this is the meal for you...unlike Alanis Morissette.

This burger from PAve is sneaky good. The secret is the roasted hatch chili salsa. It complements the patty and the other ingredients. Since most of us are aware that Alanis Morissette is not a simple person, this burger does need a little something extra to it. Our waitress at PAve mentioned the burger should have an extra crunch to it. Overall, The Alanis Morissette is a solid burger.
