The 2026 Winner For Downtown Sioux Falls Burger Battle Is…

After a month of consuming endless pounds of beef patties and sides of fries, the 13th Annual Downtown Sioux Falls Burger Battle has a new champion.

An unbelievable 50,909 votes were recorded in this year's friendly downtown competition. A record number of 50 Sioux Falls restaurants showcased their creative and tasty burgers. But who came out on top?

The new champion of the 13th Annual Downtown Sioux Falls Burger Battle is... the "Bayou Stack Burger" from Swamp Daddy's Cajun Kitchen! 

This was a popular pick for burger lovers across the Sioux Falls area. So what's on the award-winning Bayou Stack Burger from Swamp Daddy's Cajun Kitchen? Nothing but goodness, of course!

This burger features a savory banana foster-inspired topping with smoky bacon and a slow-simmered onion and pepper chutney. At the heart is a juicy, handcrafted patty blend of beef, short rib, and brisket, layered with melted American and pepper jack cheese and finished with our signature Cajun burger sauce. All of this indulgence is stacked on a warm toasted jalapeno cheddar sweet potato bun.

YUM!! This burger sounds amazing! Unfortunately, I did not have a chance to visit Swamp Daddy's Cajun Kitchen this year. But now my husband and I have an excuse for another date night! Just in time for Valentine's Day. And the best part? The burger is staying on the menu!

One More Award....

Here's a bonus prize: Once again, for Monk's Ale House, they won the award for the most burgers sold, with 9,095 burgers. Holy cow (literally!) A lot of meat!

Eating 50 burgers in one month is a big task for anyone to accomplish. Luckily, my co-worker Jeff Harkness and I teamed up this year to scout as many burgers as we could. As a team, we were able to get 16 burgers. The best part? All the burgers we sampled were unique. No two burgers were alike.
