2026 Sioux Falls Burger Battle: The Treasury’s ‘Sonoma Sourdough’

January in Sioux Falls means one thing...Burger Battle! This year's Downtown Sioux Falls Burger Battle is very intense. A record high of 50 savory burgers from local Sioux Falls restaurants needs your stomachs and votes.

I know 50 burgers is a lot to eat in this year's Downtown Sioux Falls Burger Battle. But we all know someone is going to try to complete the impossible!

I'm pretty sure I can't handle all 50 burgers. However, that won't stop me from giving as many burger reviews as I can! The fourth burger we tried is from The Treasury at Hotel on Phillips.

According to a previous article from my co-worker Jeff Harkness, the team at The Treasury created "The Sonoma Sourdough." This is "an 8 oz Certified Angus Beef patty on toasted sourdough with bubbling raclette, a rich bordelaise drizzle, black garlic aioli, and crispy shallots. Finished with fermented pickles." Trust me when I say you'll want to come hungry. This is a big burger!

"The Sonoma Sourdough" from The Treasury is one of my favorite burgers in this year's battle. I love sourdough bread, and it works perfectly with the raclette, bordelaise drizzle, and the black garlic aioli. My husband described this burger in one bite: "The best patty melt I've ever had." It's meant as a compliment because the large patty with toasted sourdough draws comparisons to a patty melt. But it's so much more than that. We give our compliments to the chef! Try it for yourself! 

FYI: This burger doesn't come with a side. We ordered the truffle fries, and didn't regret one bite of those.
