Good News! Beatrice At Local Sioux Falls Shelter Finally Has Home

There are over 400 pets at the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society, but one dog in particular needed help before it was too late.

Say hello to Beatrice. She was at the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society for a while now waiting for her person.

Beatrice is a German Shepherd Mix who was an older gal inside the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society. Her days in the shelter felt longer than others. Why? Because Beatrice was meant to be a guardian and to have someone to look after.

Earlier last week, staff at the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society pleaded with the community in an emotional Facebook post to give Beatrice a chance.

Beatrice was not meant to be inside the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society. Her purpose is to have "someone to stand beside" and "someone to watch over."

Someone she can follow through life knowing exactly where she belongs.
Instead, she has a kennel door.
She watches people come and go.
Hears dogs on the other side.
Feels every movement around her.
And she cannot get away from any of it.
Her guardian instincts tell her to watch. To react. To stay alert.
So she does.
All day. Every day.

Beatrice needed relief and thankfully, some residents across the Sioux Empire were willing to give Beatrice the life has has longed for.

Can’t believe she is still there!

Praying so very hard for the sweet girl that she gets a 2nd chance of life with a loving family that wont harm her, wont give her up and lives in her furever home that she deserves

Please tell me that she is available! Our GS died recently and my family is devastated. I just so happen to come across this post and we want to bring her home! We need her and she needs us! I love four hours away and will drive there to pick her up.
