Toby Keith Released “How Do You Like Me Now?!” 20 Years Ago This Week
It's been 20 years since Toby Keith released the top of the country charts with his classic, "How Do You Like Me Now?!" Feel old yet?
Keith burst onto the scene in the early '90s with hits like "Should've Been A Cowboy", "Wish I Didn't Know Now" and "Who's That Man". But it was "How Do You Like Me Now?" that gave him his breakthrough.
The song was released back in November 1999 as the second single off his album of the same name. Slowly but surely it not only began to rise on the country charts but the billboard hot 100 pop charts as well, becoming Keith's first crossover hit.
Fast forward 20 years later and Keith has a few dozen more hits under his belt and a few million more fans around the world. But it all began 20 years ago with this song.
