I survived my first week with Mr. Mark Tassler.  It was tough, but I made it to the other side...JUST KIDDING.

In all seriousness, my first week with Mark and KXRB was incredible.  It's almost like a dream to me when I turn on my mic.  This role is everything I expected and more.

For a long time, people told me how impossible it is to work in radio because it's rare to find an on-air position.  They aren't wrong, but the funny thing is I never expected my professional life to go into radio.  I just thought I would never have my "big break" in radio after college.

Throughout the week I was taking everything in, like the environment, the music, and you the audience.  I truly feel welcomed at KXRB through my co-workers and you.

It's a big change for the station and myself.  Change is never easy and it takes a while to adjust.  I want to thank you for embracing this change and for welcoming me.  I'm still learning, but the best part is I'm learning with you.

As time goes on, my hope is to take KXRB to the top with the help of social media.  So when I ask for your input, I really want to know what you think.  This is YOUR show.  Mark and I play YOUR music.  It's only fair you have a say and I want to be that voice for you.

I am so excited to continue this journey with Mark and KXRB.  We're going to have a blast.  Mark is a great mentor and having this opportunity to learn from him is truly an honor.  Here's to next week and many more to come!
