She's a legend, in both Pop and Country Music.

Brenda Lee.  She was known for years as 'Little Miss Dynamite'.  Why?  Well, perhaps the video below, from an early 1950's television appearance, will answer that question!

Born Brenda Mae Tarpley, Brenda Lee won a singing talent contest at the age of 6 and, well, so began one of the most successful music career's of the last 60 years.

Best known for her 1960 smash hit 'I'm Sorry' (a video of which is on this website, search Brenda Lee), Brenda charted 37 songs, both Pop and Country, in the 1960's.

'Little Miss Dynamite' stands all of 4'9" and has a voice for the ages.  Now, while 'I'm Sorry' is her signature song, she also is the talent behind this Christmas standard, the ever popular 'Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree'.

So whatever happened to our 'Little Miss Dynamite'?

Married to her husband since 1963, at age 71 Brenda has 2 daughters, 3 grandchildren and as far as I know, continues to perform, record, and rock...around the Christmas tree!
