Annual St. Joseph’s Christmas at the Cathedral Is Coming
The holiday season is fast approaching. I know it's kind of hard to believe with temps still reaching into the 60's most days, but it's true.
Soon 41st Street will be clogged with traffic, stores will be slammed with Christmas shoppers, and holiday lights will be aglow on houses all over the Sioux Empire.
Another holiday season tradition in Sioux Falls is the annual St. Joseph's Christmas at the Cathedral. This year celebrating the 20th anniversary with six different concerts from December 15-18, (2016).
The theme for the 20th anniversary of Christmas at the Cathedral is “Re-Imagine Christmas.”
Concert goers will get the opportunity to imagine ourselves experiencing the very first Christmas through beautiful music and inspiring reflections. The audience will see how God “re-imagined” the world through the Incarnation – God coming among us – in the birth of His Son, Jesus, who came in weakness. The lowly, outcast, weak and marginalized of society are the very ones who find themselves in significant roles in salvation history, giving each of us everlasting hope.
Christmas at the Cathedral is proud to welcome back very talented performers again this year like; tenor, Scott Piper, and soprano, Marni Raab, along with storyteller, Vickie Fuller. Dan Goeller and Kevin Humke will be conducting the Christmas at the Cathedral Orchestra and Choir.
Performances will be held at 7:30 PM each day with Matinees at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 17 and 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 18.
Tickets are selling fast. Get yours today at ccfesd.org or by calling 605-988-3765.
