Just a few weeks ago, the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society took in 139 animals. This is an urgent cry to the Sioux Falls area to help the shelter. They need relief, but the animals need it more.

When shelters reach this level capacity, the animals feel it first.
Within days, we've seen more stress-related behaviors as the shelter becomes more crowded.
More animals means more noise, less space, and less individual attention, making the shelter environment harder for animals to cope with.
This is more than a numbers problem.
