Hometown Tuesday: The Last Stop
Businesses around the Sioux Empire are slowly starting to re-open their doors to the public. One of the businesses ready to spin its records again is The Last Stop.
If you're looking for a new CD, a vinyl record, classic video games, and movies, then come on down to The Last Stop!
The Last Stop has not one, but TWO locations in Sioux Falls. One location is at 41st Street and Louise Avenue, next to Starbuck's. The second store is located on East 10th Street, three blocks west of I-229 next to Fire Station 5. Since The Last Stop was not considered an essential business, it remained closed during the height of the pandemic. This local retail gem recently opened its doors again for in-store shopping. However, the store is still implementing certain social distancing guidelines to keep their employees and customers safe.
Both of The Last Stop locations modified their business hours. Monday through Saturday the stores are open from 10 AM until 8 PM. Sunday hours are 12 PM until 6 PM. In addition to the new store operating hours, shoppers are required to wear face masks at both locations.
In a previous article, I mentioned how I get my eclectic taste in music from my parents. Oddly enough, my parents' preferences in stores have also influenced my shopping tastes, especially my fondness for music stores. My dad and I love searching for vinyl records, old CDs, and videos. Whenever my dad makes a trip to the Sioux Empire, he always wants to visit The Last Stop! The picture above shows my dad's newest additions to his vinyl record collection. He was clearly excited.
The Last Stop is still offering curbside pick-up if store patrons don't feel comfortable walking into the store.
Individuals can call The Last Stop (605)-977-0630 to ask how delivery and pick-up options.
