Most families have a favorite vacation spot they travel to each summer.  For my family, we always attended "Twins Days Festival."

Located in Twinsburg, Ohio, the annual festival occurs during the first weekend of August.  Events throughout the weekend include carnival rides, twin contests, the "Double Take" Parade, and more.  They even have a volleyball tournament for twins!

Thousands of multiples from all over the world attend the three-day celebration.  For as long as I can remember, my family always attended the worldwide event.  My sister Katie and I looked forward to this weekend just to meet other twins like us as well as triplets, quads, and sometimes quintuplets!  Plus, we loved visiting our favorite bed and breakfast establishment, "The Inn at Brandywine Falls."

We always entered the "Most Alike" and "Least Alike" Twin Contests.  But we never won.  No one has ever been able to determine if we look alike or not.  It's been the running joke in the family for a while.  We're "suppose" to be identical.  At least that's what the doctors told my parents (haha).

We always had a great time on this trip.  Once Katie and I grew up, we didn't go as often.  This is especially true now since I moved to a new state and Katie will be starting veterinary school in a matter of weeks.  I hope we return to the Twins Days Festival by the time we're 30.  It's a monumental year, and I feel like life (hopefully) won't be as crazy for the two of us.  It could just be a sister weekend!

For any twins in the Sioux Empire, it's worth a trip.  You're exposed to your own little world and there are a lot of opportunities to meet new people.  Katie and I would go up to every twin we saw just to say hi.  You make a lot of memories with your family.  This trip always brought my family closer.

Here are some throwback pictures of our time there.  Can you tell who is who?
