Having trouble slimming down? That new diet not exactly doing what you thought it would? Getting discouraged about those extra pounds?

Sniff a lemon. That's right, go ahead and sniff a lemon.

Oh, it won't melt away those pounds. But you'll feel slimmer.

Huh?

A Fox News report says that a new study has determined that people who get a whiff or two of lemon don't actually lose weight (duh) but they feel slimmer. The lead author of the study says:

"Our brain holds several mental models of one's own body appearance which are necessary for successful interactions with the environment.

These body perceptions are continuously updated in response to sensory inputs received from outside and inside the body.

Our study shows how the sense of smell can influence the image we have in our mind of our body and on the feelings and emotions towards it."

But whatever you do, stay away from the aroma of vanilla! Apparently the study shows that a snort of that smell makes you feel fatter.

I have a question: Can someone do a study on why we do so many studies?
