Remember When NFL Endorsed TV Dinners?

In case you missed it, Saturday was National TV Dinner Day. It was the day to honor the creation of the almost gourmet meal by Swanson in 1953.

You may have missed it because you were so focused on the NFL season firing up all around. Speaking of the NFL, they were once the spokespeople for TV dinners.

This didn't happen until the 1970's. Some people may have been horrified to see Mean Joe Green rip the door off of a refrigerator looking for something to eat!
