‘Feisty’ Minnesota Singer Cori Kennedy Shows Reba ‘Real Country’
A Minnesota country singer is making a big statement on The Voice, showcasing her power and grit.
Originally from Kasson, Minnesota, Cori Kennedy lit up Season 28 of The Voice during an epic country "Battle Round" with her partner, Aubrey Nicole. The ladies dominated in front of millions!

The hopeful singers once again took the national stage and were ready for the big country battle in front of Michael Bublé, Niall Horan, Snoop Dogg, and their coach, country legend Reba McEntire. Their song Reba picked for them was the 2014 duet "Somethin' Bad" from Miranda Lambert featuring Carrie Underwood.
Right at the top, everyone knew something special was about to happen on stage.
This performance was so much fun to watch! The girl power and energy were evident. You can tell Cori Kennedy and Aubrey Nicole worked together during this performance. All anyone could say was, "Wow!"
Fellow coaches Michael Bublé, Niall Horan, and Snoop Dogg told Reba she had a tough decision on her hands. But most of them said Cori was something different, and there aren't many singers like her around.
Snoop said it best, these ladies "Turned somethin' bad into somethin' good!"
So Who Did Coach Reba Pick to Move on To the Knockout Rounds?
You can tell this was an incredibly difficult choice for Reba. In the end, Reba did pick...Minnesota's own Cori Kennedy as the winner of this Battle Round. But wait! Cori's singing partner, Aubrey Nicole, was not finished on The Voice yet! Reba used her only save of this Battle Round on the Littlestown, Pennsylvania native.
So really, everyone was a winner for Team Reba this round!
Cori...wow, you got a voice! Cori Kennedy will now move on and "see another day!" Season 28 of NBC's The Voice airs every Monday and Tuesday at 7 PM on KDLT.
