Apple Maps Adding Locations for Coronavirus Testing Centers
As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak stretches on, technology is playing an ever-increasing role in fighting this global pandemic.
South Dakota recently advised residents to begin using the Care19 app, which tracks a person's recent movements and will help officials determine possible exposures to COVID-19 positive people.
Now one of the biggest technology companies in the world is using one of its platforms to provide information on what's been a main source of confusion and frustration during this health crisis - where to get tested for coronavirus.
9to5 Mac is reporting that the company has launched a portal on its website that gives local hospitals and health care centers the opportunity to register as coronavirus screening locations. That information will then be uploaded into Apple Maps.
No word yet on when exactly the information will be available on your smart device.
