I was back in Sioux City over the weekend to take my dad out for his birthday! Happy Birthday, Dad!!

My brother and I talked him into trying a new place! Marto Brewing Company!

It's a brewery first and foremost, but they also have an awesome wood fire oven for pizzas and plates of pasta! The menu doesn't stop there. There were a number of appetizers, sandwiches, and entrees as well.

We heard a lot about the Bavarian Pretzel that is as big as your head, but we decided no to try it because we were getting so much other food. I guess that's just a reason to go back. That, and I just found out they also have a Brunch menu on Sundays!!!! I have to go back!

I tried the Marto's Meats pizza and my brother had the Street Heat Chicken pizza. Both were so good. If you like buffalo chicken, the Street Heat is pretty legit.

My dad got the Roasted Chicken Chimichurri and my step-mom got the Woodfired Sirloin! We all left with pretty full stomachs!

And since it was my dad's birthday, he got a free dessert!

Also, the beer list was pretty impressive. I decided to get a flight because I just couldn't make up my mind. My two favorites were the OK, Boomer, which is around 11% ABV so be careful with that one, and the Wicked Game! So yummy!

Marto is located on 4th St. in front of the Promenade movie theatre. The brewery had a really cool vibe! The light fixtures were really eclectic and cool, I loved the black and white tiles all around the wood fire oven. It was just a really nice atmosphere.

Next time you're in Sioux City, maybe stop by Marto Brewing Company and check it out!
