We're finally getting a clearer picture of the whereabouts of a missing Sioux Falls baby named Chosen Butler.
Officials with the Sioux Falls Police Department have an active arrest warrant for kidnapping charges for Sioux Falls resident Betty Jewel Cross. She was the last person seen with Chosen.

In a press release from Public Information Officer of the City of Sioux Falls, Sam Clemens explains that the department recognizes the public's concern for Chosen Butler. Here's the latest on the arrest warrant:
An arrest warrant for kidnapping was issued this afternoon for Betty Jewel Cross, a 38 year old woman from Sioux Falls. Chosen was temporarily placed in Betty’s care but she is refusing to relinquish custody. The arrest warrant carries a $100,000 bond.
Currently, the Sioux Falls Police Department "believes Chosen is not in any danger." Chosen Butler's parents of Sioux Falls considered Betty Cross a trusted friend and someone they felt comfortable leaving Chosen with.
South Dakota Missing Persons website has up-to-date information on Chosen's disappearance. Chosen Butler weighs about 17 pounds with his blue eyes and brown hair. Social media posts on Facebook are going viral in efforts to find Chosen.
CHOSEN was last with BETTY CROSS, 38, of Sioux Falls. BETTY is described as an African American female, 5'1" tall, 160 lbs, brown eyes, black hair.
BETTY was remanded to turn CHOSEN over to the Department of Social Services but instead took him and disappeared. BETTY is also listed in the Attorney General Missing Persons Clearinghouse.
Betty Cross is also listed as missing on the South Dakota Missing Persons website.
Any resident with leads or information about Chosen’s whereabouts is highly encouraged to contact the Sioux Falls Police Department at 605-367-7000.
I know this story is confusing. But what's important is being one step closer to bringing Chosen home. Sioux Falls will not rest until this innocent baby is safe!
