Sioux Falls is not afraid to help a neighbor when they are in trouble. One Sioux Falls business is helping another after an unfortunate chemical leak forces it to shut down for an extended time.

Earlier last week, Intoxibakes and Swamp Daddy's Cajun Kitchen couldn't open due to a glycol leak inside the Jones421 Building. The good news: Intoxibakes was able to re-open its doors. The sad news: Swamp Daddy's Cajun Kitchen has a lot of damage due to the glycol leak and won't be able to open for at least several weeks.

This is going to be a tough time for the owners and staff at Swamp Daddy's Cajun Kitchen. So the owners of Intoxibakes are doing something wonderful to help relieve some of the stress and pressure of this accident.

Intoxibakes started a GoFundMe page for the Swamp Daddy's Cajun Kitchen family. They explain that the restaurant always does so much for the Sioux Falls community, and now it's their turn to help them.

We want to help raise funds for Inkka & Julian and the whole Swamp Daddy’s family to help them offset costs for the damages recently received from the Glycol leak. Unfortunately insurance money is not instant, and only goes so far. Between the restaurant being a complete loss and their entire staff will be displaced for several weeks anything helps right now. We hope the community can find it in their hearts to donate and help this family recover from the latest challenge.

Members of the Sioux Falls community have already been sharing the Facebook post from Intoxibakes on social media.

The goal for the GoFundMe page for Swamp Daddy's Cajun Kitchen is to raise $20,000. Every little bit helps this local family business!

More information about the fundraising efforts can be found here.

We can't wait to enjoy some delicious food at Swamp Daddy's Cajun Kitchen soon!
