Omaha Zoo Adds New Entrance
The Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium has been named the number one zoo in the world in previous years. With the largest indoor rain forest in North America, and one of the world's largest free-flight aviaries. So its no wonder that more than 25 million people have visited the zoo over the past 40 years. Well with so many people, they recently added a second entrance!
The entrance, which opened at the end of July, was built in conjunction with nearby construction on a new education facility. It is located north of the Desert Dome and south of Red Barn Park, just north and west of Durham’s Bear Canyon. It is near the site of the previous north entrance, which was demolished last fall.
