It's not only the most wonderful time of the year, it's also the busiest. Well, amidst all the hustle and bustle of the Christmas holiday, why not take a step back in time and relax and realize the true meaning of the season.

Our Savior's Lutheran Church, located six miles south of Menno, will be having their annual 'Old Fashioned Christmas Worship Service' on Saturday evening December 2 at 7:00 P.M.

You'll love the 'old fashioned' traditions, including a children's nativity, candlelight while singing 'Silent Night' (in Norwegian and German!), using an old pump organ with a Christmas Tree nearby. Lunch, with ethnic foods, will follow the service.

But wait!

If you'd like (and we hope you do) you can feel a real part of the service and dress in older style attire. Go ahead, dress in a style from the 1880's (think 'Little House On The Prairie' Christmas episode), or maybe the 1920's...or maybe the 1950's & 60's when you were growing up. Or maybe just add Grandma's or Grandpa's hat and come and join us!

It's all about Jesus and stepping back a bit in time, reflecting on those older, simpler days before what has become the 'rush' of Christmas.

The church is located just six miles south of Menno in the James River Valley (29219 431 Ave.). If you have any questions give Pastor Theresa a call at 605-387-5241. Or Barb can help you out at 605-660-1410.
