With all the hype over Mayweather and McGregor fight coming this weekend. I can guarantee I found an event way more worthy of talking about and attending.

The expectation of the big fight, big game, championship this or that, rarely lives up to the hype, and is usually a fleeting moment soon forgotten.

Then there are events, and programs going on that get little attention, or headline space, and they leave an impact for life on many people.

My friends Kylie and Taylor, from Parker invited me to MC for a program their 4H club was having at the Turner County Fair.

The program was called iLead.

Kris Harriman explained the iLead program to me, and how iLead was created by Megan Parr from Texas A & M.

4H members donated their time, and livestock so kids of all abilities could experience showing livestock.

The first counties in the area to experience iLead were Davison, and Sanborn.

Parker's extension adviser and secretary learned about this incredible program, and decided to form a committee to bring it to the Turner County Fair this year.

This year at the Turner County Fair they had 9 guest participants, 40 4H volunteers, 6 committee members, and a full crowd of fans, family and supporters in the stands.

It was a highlight night of 2017 for me, to be able to be there, and be a part of such an inspiring program.

Watching kids helping other kids, all sharing in something they love.

Thanks to the Harriman family for always making me feel like family, and the Turner County Fair for hosting this event.

Thanks to the Parker community, 4H crew, and all the iLead participants for such a great experience.

I'm not sure who will win Saturday nights fight, but I do know everyone involved in this program walked away winners.
