Lake Area Technical Institute among the Top 10 in the Country

The website WalletHub is out with its 'Best Community Colleges List' for 2017 - and Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown made the top 10.

Coming in at #1 on this year's list was Leech Lake Tribal in Minnesota. Cochise County Community College in Arizona was #2, Southwest Wisconsin Tech #3.

Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown came in at #10. Mitchell Technical Institute is listed at #13

With the cost of getting a "traditional" college education going up, more and more students are turning to a more economical option - community college.

The average full-time tuition at a community college these days in $1,700 a semester, which is about a third of the cost of a traditional four-year public school.
