Officials with the Bramble Park Zoo say the four pups were born on Saturday, April 18th. The new family is split down the middle with two females and two males. Staff debuted the new wolf pups in a Facebook post late last week.

Fun fact: These pups are from a wildlife sanctuary in West Bend, Wisconsin called Shalom Wildlife Sanctuary. They have been adjusting to their new home.

Currently, the Zoo Crew at Bramble Park Zoo staff hand-raising the pups "after being separated from their mother due to an insufficient milk supply." They believe this is the very first time the Bramble Park Zoo has needed to step in to hand-raise wolf pups. The good news is the pups appear to be doing great so far!

The pups require around-the-clock care. Staff are feeding them every four hours, monitoring their development closely, and providing the same care they would normally receive from their mother during these critical early weeks. Their eyes are beginning to open and fun fact: they are already howling!

The City of Watertown and the Sioux Empire are beaming with joy for these new wolf pups! They are even coming up with names.

Ghost, Lady, Nymeria, and Summer.

How cute are they!!! Kudos for the staff for caring so diligently for little pups-thank you, thank you, thank you!

Ohhhhh the most adorable thing. Keep up the great work for these 4 little ones!!!

When Can Zoo-Goers See The Wolf Pups at the Bramble Park Zoo in Watertown?

These pups still have a lot of work to do. Zoo Crew members explain the four pups are in "quarantine and their health and development will determine when they are ready to transition into their new habitat." The new wolf exhibit to set to open sometime in May.

Welcome to South Dakota little ones! The Sioux Empire can't wait to meet you soon.
