Iowans Show Off Their Most Beautiful Photos of the State [GALLERY]
We may be a little bias, but we think Iowa has a whole lot of natural beauty!
When people think of Iowa, they thinks of cornfields and livestock. We obviously have plenty of those things, but that's not ALL we have! Iowa is also home to bluffs, lakes, forests, rivers, caves, rolling hills, and some of the most gorgeous sunsets you've ever seen!
Earlier this week, we asked Iowans to share some of their most beautiful photos from the state of Iowa. Some of those photos came from here in Eastern Iowa, but there are plenty from other regions, too. Here are a few of my favorites that I've taken over the past eight years:
Adventureland in Altoona
Maquoketa Caves State Park
Palisades-Kepler State Park in Mount Vernon
Benton County
K9 Acres Dog Park in Marion
Downtown Cedar Rapids from the McGrath Amphitheatre
I want to say THANK YOU to all the Iowans who sent in their awesome Iowa photos on our Facebook page! We had over 100 of them submitted! Here are some of our favorites:

You may have noticed that a lot of the photos sent to us were from different state parks here in Iowa. Did you know that we have over 70 of them across the state?! My absolute favorite is Palisades-Kepler State Park in Mount Vernon. It's only 20 minutes away from Downtown Cedar Rapids, but it makes me feel like I'm 500 miles away. Check out a list of all of the state parks located here in Eastern Iowa and see how many you've visited HERE!
