Season 30 of NBC's The Voice is officially underway, and the Sioux Empire has a surprise audition from a young Minnesota star in the making.

Originally from Alexandria, Minnesota, 14-year-old singer Brooklyn Marie (Brooklyn Ostlund) took the stage for a chance to be on NBC's The Voice. Yep...Brooklyn is only 14 and she performed in front of a live audience AND millions on national television.

The hopeful Minnesota singer went on stage hoping to grab the attention of celebrity coaches Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, first time coach Queen Latifah, and another first time coach country star Riley Green.

With a guitar in her hand and a voice in her heart, Brooklyn Marie nailed her Blind Audition by performing Olivia Rodrigo's song "traitor."

How Did The Voice Coaches React To Brooklyn Marie's Performance?

The Voice coaches were amazed that Brooklyn was only 14-years-old, and it didn't take Queen Latifah long to press her button. She heard "something special right away." And for Kelly Clarkson, she couldn't believe what she saw when she turned around. But this was a good surprise!

I do love working a lot with the younger talent because there's a freedom about your spirts and whenever you're picking songs and you're very bold. I've also navigated a competition myself as a teenager, and I know how to do it girl and I know how to win this show!

Coach Adam Levine regretted not turning his chair for this Minnesota singer, but with Kelly Clarkson and Queen Latifah, he knew Brooklyn was in good hands.

So Who Did Minnesota's Own Brooklyn Marie Pick as Her Coach?

With her family looking onward, Brooklyn Marie decided that she was going to be part of Team Kelly Clarkson! For the record...Brooklyn explained her choice "has always been Kelly."
