Meet New 'Survivor' Castaway From Iowa & Living in Sioux Falls

An Iowa native and Sioux Falls, South Dakota resident is about to take on the ultimate reality television test.

The new Survivor is getting ready for a major "unpredictable" season with more "Castaways" living off the grid to make it to the top. Soon the Sioux Empire will see one of their own battling the wilderness with complete strangers.

24-year-old Carter Krull from Rock Rapids, Iowa is gearing up to compete in the historic 51st season of Survivor. He's a livestock farmer with ties to South Dakota. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Carter Krull currently lives in Sioux Falls. And another fun fact: Carter was a member of the Cougar football team at the University of Sioux Falls. He was a Wide Receiver and Kicker.

He'll be one of 21 Castaways going through various challenges in Fiji when the show premieres on Thursday, September 23rd.

He describes himself as someone who is Adventurous, Competitive, Determined.
He runs a local moving company with one of his best friends.
His hobbies include photography and videography.
Being part of Survivor has been on his Bucket List, and now he'll be living his dream. It's "part of his DNA."

In a short video on Instagram, Carter says the "dumbest kid alive" is going to do well in this game just because he's a "good guy."

“I truly think you can win this game by being a good person and being honest.”

Carter doesn't mind being the underdog and if other Castaways under estimate him!

13 Times Sioux Falls Made it into a 'Jeopardy!' Question

If the world was divided into Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune people, I would be down for Jeopardy! all the way. It's a lot more fun, it makes me feel smart because I can retain lots of trivia, and I am a horrible speller. So Wheel is out, no whammies.

Recently I discovered (I mean wasted a lot of time on) a website that is an archive of clues that have been on Jeopardy!.

While digging around the archive, I wanted to find out how often Sioux Falls came up in a question (Answer) on the show. Since 1990 Sioux Falls has been part of a question or an answer 13 times.
