If you drive around the parking lots at the University of South Dakota you may notice something interesting.

Wow, there's a lot of Iowa license plates!

Well, it turns out that kids from Sioux City, LeMars, Rock Rapids and other Northwest Iowa towns have turned into Coyotes.

According to the Sioux City Journal there's been a 70% increase in enrollment at USD by Iowa students.

Why? Well, of course there's the great education you get there. Oh, and now that the South Dakota Board of Regents extended in-state rates to Iowa folks, well, that may help, too.

The in-state tuition and fees of about $8,700 saves Iowans roughly $3,200 as opposed to out-of-state tuition.

So, while getting a world class education, there's nothing wrong with saving some bucks as well!

And by the way, if you're a USD alumni, your kids get in-state tuition as well.
