Garth Brooks assembled an 800-person choir for his Saturday night (July 29) Stadium Tour stop in Eugene, Ore. The massive chorus joined the country superstar for two songs: his own hit "We Shall Be Free" and the Isley Brothers classic "Shout."

According to a press release, Oregon native and longtime Brooks' backup singer Robert Bailey led the choir. "Shout" grew in popularity after its use in the 1978 movie Animal House -- a scene in which, Brooks told the crowd at Autzen Stadium, Bailey appears.

"Shout" is part of a special tradition in Eugene: At Autzen Stadium, home to the University of Oregon's Oregon Ducks, the song plays at the end of the third quarter at every football game.

Brooks recorded both "Shout" and "We Shall Be Free" for a live album, the details of which have yet to be announced. His stop in Eugene was part of his Stadium Tour, which began earlier this year, following his 2018 show at Notre Dame Stadium, the first concert ever held at that venue.

Brooks has been teasing a new album called Fun since early 2019. He says it should be done this summer.
