Hazel was a loyal customer of Dairy Queen (Treat), and out of the population of 323 residents she was one of the best.

Even though this is a week old, this kind gesture by a small Minnesota town is too delicious to resist. The celebration of life for Hazel happened last Monday at the Dairy Queen (Treat). So many of memories of Hazel were shared at the store and online in a Facebook post.

I remember Hazel..my aunt lived right across the street from her...She'd be outside and see me and tell me " you better come over and get a cookie or two before you leave!" LOL

Hazel was a sweet lady. Best back door neighbor!

Hazel had such grace and very hard working and love for her family!

You can tell Hazel was loved by so many. It looks like Hazel's favorite treat was a hot fudge sundae. The team at the Dairy Queen (Treat) even handed out free small hot fudge sundaes to honor their friend.

This is just awesome to see a community come together to support their neighbors and beyond. It's a great feel-good story just in time before America's 250th birthday. You will be missed by everyone in Sanborn, Hazel!
