
Iowa Man Puts Loaded Gun in Oven and Suffers Consequences

An Iowa man is on the run and facing charges after putting a loaded firearm inside a kitchen oven.

Police in Des Moines are still searching for the man who is believed to be the culprit of the exploding gun in an Iowa oven.
Investigators believe that 36-year-old Dameian Buckner had two handguns and a "delivery quantity" of marijuana when officers arrived at a home to investigate reports of gunfire at the residence. Buckner was reportedly injured when a handgun (that he was keeping in his oven) went off multiple times as the oven was pre-heating.
Detectives are requesting the community’s help with locating a person with felony gun and drug charges.
Evidence indicates that 36-year-old Dameian Buckner possessed two handguns and delivery quantity marijuana when officers responded to investigate a report of gunfire at his home.Buckner received an upper arm injury during the incident where a handgun, stored in an oven, fired multiple rounds as the oven was heated up.
Buckner has active warrants for Felon In Possession Of A Firearm, Possession Of A Controlled Substance With Intent To Deliver, and Failure To Affix A Tax Stamp.-Des Moines Police Department
Buckner has still yet to be apprehended and the Des Moines Police Department is encouraging the public to contact call 911 if they have any information on where the suspect may be located at the present time. You can also go to Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa to submit a tip.
