Aberdeen Man Pleads Not Guilty in Alleged Machete Threat
An Aberdeen man accused of threatening to kill a woman with a machete has pleaded not guilty.
Forty-eight-year-old Kevin Rinish is charged with felony domestic aggravated assault. He's accused of threatening to kill a woman while wielding a machete at his home on Dec. 27. He could face up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
The American News reports that Judge Tony Portra on Wednesday amended Rinish's $50,000 bond from cash-only to a surety bond but denied a defense request to grant Rinish work-release privileges.
