SALEM, S.D. (AP) — Residents of the southeastern South Dakota city of Salem have water service again after a two-day outage.

Two of the city's three wells broke down on Monday. Repairs were finished Wednesday and city officials lifted most water restrictions.

About 1,350 people live in the city. They experienced a similar dry spell last summer when computer problems caused the city's water treatment plant to shut down.
