PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — The libraries at South Dakota State University in Brookings and the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City have been selected as depository libraries to help provide access to state government publications.

State Librarian Daria Bossman says the two libraries will help educate people and showcase the increasing number of state agency publications being placed online through the South Dakota State Library's digital collections.

Bossman says the two university libraries will have electronic copies of state publications and one print copy, when available.

Bossman says that as a result of a measure passed last year by the South Dakota Legislature, the entire process for online collection and cataloguing of state government documents is now in place.
