The winning ticket was sold at a South Dakota convenience store.
A Facebook post from the South Dakota Lottery confirmed the exciting news that a mystery lottery ticket was sold in Orchard Meadows Common in Rapid City. How much money was this lucky South Dakota ticket? Enough to buy a new car, about ten Christmas dinners, or maybe even make a down payment on a house.
The winning ticket sold at Orchard Meadows Common in Rapid City was worth...$50,015! Although it's not the jackpot prize from Saturday's drawing, that is still a substantial amount of money. To give you an idea of how close the winner was to winning the entire Powerball Jackpot, the South Dakota Lottery said this ticket was just one number away. Wow...hard to imagine being that close to winning!
