Tanya Tucker Lights Up Sioux Falls!
I have been involved with many exciting events since I joined the KXRB Team, however last night's show totally tops the list!
Grammy-award winning country superstar, Tanya Tucker brought The District down during her highly anticipated "Bring My Flowers Now Tour." She even brought along special guest Brandy Clark to kick-off the exciting night! For those who aren't familiar with Brandy Clark, her songs have been recorded by several artists. This all-star list includes Sheryl Crow, Reba McEntire, Miranda Lambert, and LeAnn Rimes. Brandy was also nominated for "Best New Artist" at the 2015 Grammy Awards!
Before Brandy or Tanya hit the stage, I had the honor and privilege to introduce the show! I could tell that the Sioux Empire was ready for a night of "Real Country Variety!"
Brandy really pumped up the crowd for an evening with Tanya. The District concert guests especially loved it as she covered one of country’s biggest songs, "Good Hearted Woman!" When Brandy's set was over, the crowd was ready and raring to go for Tanya time!
What an electrifying artist! Right from the start, Tanya had the crowd on their feet as she opened with "Some Kind of Trouble"! The show just got better and better as the evening continued! She played most of her hits including “If Your Heart Ain't Busy Tonight," "Delta Dawn," and her Grammy-Award winning favorite “Bring My Flowers Now!"
I really enjoyed an incredible evening! I truly hope Tanya returns to Sioux Falls one day! A huge thank you to The District for allowing me to be part of this memorable event!
