Stonewall Jackson’s Hit ‘Me And You And A Dog Named Boo’ Was Also A Pop Hit For Lobo
In 1971 Country Music fans were introduced to a dog.
A dog named 'Boo'.
Country Star Stonewall Jackson had his final Top Ten Country hit with 'Me and You And A Dog Named Boo'.
But Pop Music fans already had met this 'Dog named Boo'.

Earlier in 1971, a new pop singer/songwriter that went by the single name 'Lobo' had brought the song to the higher reaches of the Pop/Rock charts, as well as #1 on the Easy Listening chart. Lobo, under his real name Kent Lavoie, had written the song and included it on his debut album 'Introducing Lobo'.
