Slow Down! South Dakota Highway Patrol Warns Slick Roads Are Here
Parts of South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota are reportedly getting heavy snow on Wednesday. Even though there isn't a significant amount of snow on the ground in the Sioux Falls area, drivers are reminded to be cautious of lower temperatures and slick roads.
It's that time of year when roads and bridges in the Sioux Empire turn into ice. Small amounts of snow in Sioux Falls are already making road conditions tough for drivers.
Early on Wednesday morning, State Troopers from the South Dakota Highway Patrol shared a photo in a Facebook post of a driver going a little too fast on a slick bridge. It's a good reminder for all Sioux Empire drivers to be alert on the roads this winter!
It's better to slow down on the roads than to get into an accident!
Snow fell overnight in Sioux Falls and began to melt. Unfortunately due to the low temps this is causing freezing on bridges. Please slow down and be safe on your morning commute.

It will be a "Windy Wednesday." Parts of South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota could see wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour!
Be careful on the roads and don't blow away.
