SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Authorities in Sioux Falls are investigating the stabbing of a 22-year-old woman in an alley.

Police say they were dispatched to an alley in the 200 block between South Phillips and South Main avenues about 11:30 a.m. when the woman reported that she had been assaulted and stabbed by an unknown man.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital with what appeared to be a non-life threatening injury. Her name was not released.

The suspect was not located, but police say the public is not considered to be in danger.

The investigation is still ongoing.
