Running a local business in Sioux Falls is never easy, especially during the winter. For example, officials with the Sioux Falls Cattitude Café admit colder months are harder to bring people through the door.

Giving South Dakota cats a second chance at finding their "fur-ever" home is a lot easier today thanks to the Sioux Falls Cattitude Café. However, the number of visitors to the local café tends to "slow down" significantly during the winter. That's why they need your help now.

They have asked for help before. The first time the Sioux Falls Cattitude Café was on the verge of closing its doors was announced this past April. Thanks to the help of generous donors, the doors of the Cattitude Café remained open.

You are why the cats still have the café. But as the Cattitude Café gets quiet in winter, the "kitties still need love, playtime, and support."

All you have to do is visit the Cattitude Café, and if you feel the need to help, one of these cats might be your new best friend.

We would absolutely love to see more friendly faces stopping in to warm up with us and spend time with our cats. Your visits truly help keep our doors open and our furry residents happy.
If you can’t make it down in person, you can always support us by making an online donation. Every bit helps us care for the cats and continue providing a cozy space for the community.

Remember: Every visit, coffee drink, or event helps cats at the Cattitude Café find their new home.

10 Things You Should Never Do in South Dakota

Go anywhere in the U.S. and you'll find traditions and customs that only exist in that part of the country. South Dakota is no different, and there are definitely some "do's and don'ts" when it comes to living here.

Be careful trying any of these things in the Mount Rushmore State.

See How East 10th Street in Sioux Falls Has Changed

It's really interesting using Google Streetview to compare the changes from the earliest pictures to the latest.

For Sioux Falls, the earliest views are from 2008 and the latest from early 2022.

Some of the looks aren't the clearest, but it still gives a real good look at how dynamic the east side of Sioux Falls is.
