Sanford International Gets Major Extension To Stay in Sioux Falls

Since 2018, golf fans around the Sioux Empire gather for the Sanford International tournament at the Minnehaha Country Club. This prestigious golf event showcases Sioux Falls and features some of the greatest golfers to ever play the game.

In 2021, fans of the tournament were disappointed to learn the PGA Champions Tour may not be held in Sioux Falls after the 2024 Sanford International. But here's some good news for avid golf fans! An exciting new agreement was reached on Tuesday, June 13th that extends the Sanford International through 2027.

The Sanford International and the Minnehaha Country Club Board of Directors reached an agreement on a three-year extension to keep the tournament in Sioux Falls at Minnehaha Country Club. Our news partners at Dakota News Now had a chance to talk with the Tournament Director of the Sanford International Davis Trosin about the new deal. Davis says this is fantastic news for everyone involved, including the players of the tournament. The professional golfers at the Sanford International just fall in love with the City of Sioux Falls:
