My Grandpa’s Old Coin Collection

When I was a kid, one of my favorite things to do was hang out with my Grandpa. We'd play cards, eat at mom and pop restaurants make things in his workroom, and go through his old coin collection.

He started collecting coins when he was in the Navy during World War II. Slowly over the years, the collection grew quite impressive. When he passed away he left his treasure to me. Here are a few of my favorites:

These are just the tip of the iceberg, but I had to stop somewhere, right? It's been fun researching them all and I'm overwhelmed with a sense of thankfulness that he left me these all those years ago.
