Artists crossing over into each others musical genres lanes is nothing new, but it has made for some interesting musical traffic jams lately.

I remember one of the early ones that was a hit when Tim McGraw and Nelly teamed up on Over and Over.

If artists can hit both fan bases at the same time it's a win win for everyone, but some are hits and some miss.

With the success of Bebe Rexha featuring Florida Georgia Line on the song Meant to Be it's no surprise other artist would follow suit.

It's always an interesting struggle when your kids get old enough to develop their own musical taste and the battle for musical car control begins.

Camila Cabello's has been on my daughters playlist for a while so I've heard her song Never Be the Same plenty of times.

And with me working in country music radio there has been no shortage of Kane Brown filling our car.

Here is where things get interesting, when you combine the artist and music you love and the artist and songs your kids like  and it doesn't always work.

I like both Camila Cabello and Kane Brown, but I am not a fan of this collaboration. For me personally a remix and re working collaboration needs to bring a song to the next level. I don't hate the new song with them both on it, but it doesn't bring the original to another level so I'm going to say it's a miss and not a hit on this one.
