‘Lend Me A Tenor’ To Open at Sioux Empire Community Theatre
The Sioux Empire Community Theatre has been hard at work preparing their next big show, Lend Me A Tenor.
Lend Me A Tenor is described on the SECT website, " It’s 1934, and the world’s greatest tenor Tito Merelli has come to Cleveland, Ohio, to save its Grand Opera Company by singing Pagliacci, The Clown. When he is unexpectedly incapacitated, Max, the Opera Director’s meek assistant, is given the daunting task of finding a last-minute replacement. Chaos ensues – including a scheming soprano, a star-struck ingénue, a jealous wife, and more than a bit of mistaken identity."
The show officially opens at the Historic Orpheum Theatre downtown on February 20th and runs for two weeks, but there is going to be a special performance on Valentine's Day!
On Valentine's Day, there will be a specially prepared dinner as well as a performance of Lend Me A Tenor at the Icon Lounge. Tickets are $70 and available here.
If you can't make that special show, don't worry. Shows resume on February 20th through March 1st, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $30 and are available here.
