It seems a bit strange to see Caitlin Clark playing in anything but an Iowa Hawkeye jersey. But #22 for the Indiana Fever sure looks a lot like the old #22 for Iowa. The WNBA preseason tipped off last week and Clark let the league know that she is here to stay!

Clark scored 21 points and hit 5 three-point shots in her WNBA debut, a 79-76 loss to the Dallas Wings. Clark looked the part of the #1 overall pick but had her share of struggles. She went scoreless in the 3rd quarter and sat with foul trouble. She had her shot blocked at the rim too. But ESPN reports that Clark was happy with her effort, saying "My biggest goal coming into tonight was to continue to be myself, play aggressive...I thought that's what I did."

The game in Dallas, in case you had any doubt, was a sellout. You can expect the same thing for the Indiana Fever's final preseason game in Indianapolis on Thursday night when the Fever hosts the Atlanta Dream at 6 p.m. Iowa time. Fans who want to watch the game can see it for free on the WNBA app where they continue a free preview of their league pass.

Meanwhile, as fans wait for the signature Nike shoe from Caitlin Clark, sneakerheads continue to notice what kind of kicks Caitlin wears during games. During her preseason debut in Dallas, Clark rocked the Kobe 6 Protro 'All-Star' colorway.

The shoes made their retail debut in March of 2021. But if you want a pair now, you'll have to hit up sites like StockX where a pair will set you back around $800. The shoe was originally worn by Kobe Bryant during the 2011 NBA All-Star game. Clark has frequently worn Kobe shoes during her basketball career.
