Hometown Tuesday On Thursday: Twin Cities Edition

Since I took the day off on Tuesday, I thought it would be fun to talk about a restaurant I ate at while I was in the Twin Cities. There are a lot of great dining options in the downtown area.

My friend Miranda and I love breakfast food.  We knew we wanted to find a breakfast/brunch establishment before we went back to Sioux Falls. Well if you're looking for a great breakfast place, The Buttered Tin is your destination!

Located off of 7th Street in Lowertown, St. Paul, The Buttered Tin opened its doors in 2013. It's is like a diner, except you order your food at the counter. They have all sorts of meals that will start your day, like Breakfast Tacos, Biscuits and Gravy, and Buttermilk Pancakes. They also offer different sweets, such as cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, and banana bread.

I ordered the Smashed Avocado Toast with over-easy eggs. Mark likes to tease me about how much I love avocado, and this was no different. It was delicious. The toast is actually two bigger slices of bread with the avocado and eggs on top. A little side salad also came with the meal.
