The Helpline Center is launching a new do-it-yourself program for individuals or families to do together. Each week throughout the summer, Volunteer Connections will post (on its social media pages) a family friendly, do-it-yourself, hands-on volunteer project.

Susie Ryks, who heads up Volunteer Services at the Helpline Center, says all the projects are things families can do together. "The projects benefit our local nonprofits, so parents can keep the kids busy during the summer months."

To learn more about the D-I-Y project, like the Helpline Center’s Facebook page, follow them on Twitter or Instagram, or sign up to receive weekly emails.

The Helpline Center would also like for you to share your photos, tagging 'Helpline Center' and using the hashtags #DIYVOLSD and #volunteersiouxfalls
