Gia Allemand of ‘The Bachelor’ Commits Suicide [UPDATE]
TMZ.com is reporting that "Bachelor" star Gia Allemand is dead. She appeared on Season 14 of the show, the season that featured Jake Pavelka.
The 29-year-old has been hospitalized in New Orleans since Monday after a serious emergency medical event. No other details were released.
Season 14 winner Vienna Girardi told TMZ, "Gia was a beautiful girl and an unbelievable friend. I'm shocked and can't believe what happened to her. She seemed so happy, but never know the demons people are fighting inside. I will never forget her and will miss my friend forever."
UPDATE: TMZ is now reporting the cause of death is suicide. Gia's boyfriend, Ryan Anderson, found Gia in her house Monday night. Gia was on life support, which was withdrawn today. She had suffered "critical loss of brain and organ function."
UPDATE 2: TMZ is now reporting that Gia hanged herself. Her boyfriend, Ryan, found her hanging and unconscious in her home and immediately called 911.
