George Jones Final Show

There are Country Music stars. There are Country Music superstars. There are legends.

And then there's George Jones.

The Country Music Icon has had a career that cannot be described in mere words. The greatest country singer ever? Check. The greatest country songs ever? Check. The artist that every country artist that came along after owes a huge debt? Check.

And then there's his life. The life George Jones led could well be the greatest country song that ever was or will be, if only someone could somehow put it all into a 3 minute story that rhymed.

And now, next year, that career will come to an end, at least as far as live shows. And appropriately enough, it will come to a close in Music City, U.S.A.

(AP) - George Jones will play his final tour date at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. The show will be the last of The Grand Tour which is Jones' farewell tour.

The Possum says surprises are in store. He's got lots of friends and they just might show up for his last concert tour date.
