It comes around once each year. It's the biggest event in the history of sprint car racing.

Knoxville Raceway, in Knoxville, Iowa, hosts The Knoxville Nationals. The dream of any racer in the sport, is to win this one.

A wealth of history surrounds this event. 2015 marked the 55th running of the prestigious race.

It not only brings in racers from around the world, but fans as well. This year there were 112 cars listed in qualifying.

North Dakota native Donny Schatz won Saturday night to earn his fifth title. Schatz led all 50 laps.
