Cyndi Lauper, Others Added To George Jones Final Show

Here at Classic Country 1000 KXRB and KXRB.com we love George Jones. We've been playing the Possum's music since the day we went on the air in 1969. And we still play ton's of George's hits and classic's everyday.

Now, according to the Associated Press, more performers have been added to what will be a historic concert. And some of the names will surprise you!

(AP) - Billy Ray Cyrus, Don McLean and Cyndi Lauper have been added to the list of performers for George Jones' final concert.

Cyndi Lauper? Jones says he's been a fan of Lauper's since he saw her perform on the Grammys several years ago and he's thrilled she's agreed to be part of his concert.

Jones says Cyrus and McLean are old friends. Jones will perform a farewell concert November 22 in Nashville.

Other guest performers include Garth Brooks, Kid Rock, Kenny Rogers, Randy Travis, Alan Jackson, Dierks (DURKS) Bentley, Charlie Daniels, Joe Diffie, Tracy Lawrence, Tanya Tucker, Patty Loveless and Montgomery Gentry.
